How do I get to Hotel Las Brisas?
We are easily reached by car, taxi or public bus. The road to Samara is paved and in good condition. There is also a direct bus from San Jose to Samara which can drop you in front of our hotel.
Will I need to rent a car?
It isn't necessary to rent a car, as there is local taxi service and bus service throughout Costa Rica.
Do area businesses accept credit cards?
Yes. As with most tourist areas, all major credit cards are accepted.
Is your beach private property?
All beaches in Costa Rica are technically public.
Is there a town close by?
The nearby village of Samara is a typical small Costa Rican community catering to the tourist trade with shops, banks, cafes and discotheques. The village is a short 10-minute walk from the hotel.
What is the weather like?
The tropical climate of Costa Rica is as varied as the country itself. The dry season and primary tourist season starts in November and continues until May. The temperature range in the region of Samara Beach is between 79 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit (26 to 30 degrees Celsius) with a constant ocean breeze.
While the dry season attracts more tourists to Costa Rica, the green season that begins with the first rains of May, is undoubtedly the most beautiful season, since the rain transforms the countryside to an emerald green, with flowers and blossoms sparkling like so many gems amidst the lush foliage.
What clothes should I bring?
The dress code at the resort is casual. The days are warm with a light ocean breeze and the evenings are very comfortable. However, it is recommended to bring a light jacket or sweater along, as the evenings can feel fresh after a warm day.
